PET(polyester coated) Aluminum Composite panel


  • Definition:

    Polyester, short-termed as PET, is usually mistakenly called PE(polyethylene) by some ACP manufacturers.

     

    Polyester is a category of polymers which contain the ester functional group in their main chain. Although there are many polyesters, the term "polyester" as a specific material most commonly refers to polyethylene terephthalate (PET).

    Colors availability:

    Most of the colors found in RAL or Pantone color dictionary could be painted on aluminum skin.

    Usually speaking, PET coating aluminum colors have more varieties than PVDF coated aluminum colors, especially for some colors with high gloss, which are beyond PVDF coating methods.

     

    Application:

    1.     Interior wall or ceiling decoration

    2.     exterior shop decoration with expecting short life span(2—3 years)

    3.     Other application where requires lower weathering resistance

     

    Polyester coated aluminum composite panel has comparatively low resistance to hard weather, such as acid rain, strong sunshine.

     

    Cost Difference:

    With the same specifications, Polyester aluminum composite panel is about 1 to 2 USD cheaper than PVDF aluminum composite panel in cost.
